Carat UK brings Alison Jones on board as its new chief client officer

Carat UK has appointed Alison Jones as its new chief client officer.

Jones will report to Carat’s chief executive, Rick Hirst, and will join the senior leadership team on 28 November.

Jones holds experiences as a senior marketer leading some of the biggest retail brands in the UK.

She started her career at Next before progressing to Debenhams where she spent over a decade, eventually departing as marketing director in 2010 for a group chief marketing officer role with Arcadia.

Following on from this Jones then worked at M&S before moving to Australia in 2013 to take up the role of online director with Australian retail group, Woolworths.

“In our ever-changing industry the one constant is the need for great client leadership and our ambition at Carat is to be the best in the businesss,” said Rick Hirst, chief exective of Carat.

He added: “I wanted Ali to join the team and bring a fresh perspective and energy to how we embed a culture of client leadership across our entire business. She used to work for Philip Green so there’s no doubting that she’s both smart and fearless.”

Jones said: “I have been fortunate to work with Carat both in the UK and Australia as a client. I am delighted to join a business that is passionate about the growth of their clients’ businesses and embraces the fast pace of change we are all experiencing.”
