Meal delivery platform Deliveroo has partnered with Heineken to open up cider and beer orders to Londoners.

Using the Deliveroo app, consumers will be able to order drinks coming under the newly created Brew House brand.

Launching in London in November across 15 sites, the offer will be rolled out nationwide by the end of this year.

Off licenses and independent alcohol retailers will process customer orders that will be delivered by Deliveroo by courier similar to any food order. Earlier this year, the company cornered wine deliveries by partnering with Majestic (in addition to craft beer company Brewdog) to provide a more complete home-dining experience.

“At Deliveroo we are always looking for new ways to innovate," said Dan Warne, UK and IE managing director at Deliveroo. "This brand partnership and creation of the Brew House marks an extremely exciting addition not only to our alcohol offering, but the business as a whole.”

“We are thrilled to be linking up with Deliveroo to launch Brew House," added Simon Amor, off trade sales director at Heineken. "We are working with customers from our Star Retailer programme so that consumers can enjoy a cold beer or cider delivered straight to their door whether they are watching a match or just enjoying time with friends.”

The move comes not long after the company issued a full rebrand to make its couriers and brand more visible on the streets.
