Airbnb is responding to claims it doesn't do enough to prevent discriminative hosts with a new ad campaign underlining its new community polices.

The home-sharing app said it released the film "to promote the importance of its diversity and inclusion policy".

The in-house video focused on including hosts and staff from Airbnb across many different ethnic backgrounds and age groups to raise awareness of its non-tolerance stance on discrimination.

Jonathan Mildenhall, chief marketing officer of Airbnb, said: "I feel proud to work for a company that will declare an ideology through great work and then partner with our community as we work towards it".

It comes after a study found that discrimination is very much alive in sharing economy services like Uber and Airbnb, showing that the brands must take a more hands on approach to handling its communities.
