The next team to present in the now famous annual Blis Golden Shaker competition is team Vizeum with their creation: The Rule Breaker
The competition sees nine top media agency teams battling it out to find out who has the best cocktail making skills in the industry, with guidance from world famous mixologists - courtesy of Proof & Company.
Vizeum was this year represented by Laura Hill, Penny Taylor and Christina Oh, who made a cocktail from a scotch base.
The winner will be crowned at the final in Singapore on the 17 November but leading up to that points can be amassed by generating social shares, so if this is your team, share away!
While the teams were busy creating their cocktail, we asked them two pressing questions about the future of the industry.
What’s the ‘golden’ opportunity in APAC for you?
Vizeum invests heavily in understanding people and technology that will allow us to focus more on building solutions, beyond mere channel recommendations. The golden opportunity for us is the ability to harness and translate data for practical business use. For BBC Earth Asia, this meant creating the Emotional Content Connection Engine (ECCE). This artificial intelligence, which used 21 different categories of behavioural and contextual data, identified the consumer in a range of specific contexts and environment. When people were in one of the three emotional states, the ECCE would deliver the most relevant content to them through the most suited platform.
How would you ‘shake-up’ the industry if you could?
Vizeum goes beyond being a media partner and looks to become a business partner that actually understands all areas of a client’s business. It’s our vision and DNA that’s ingrained in us – the way we look at KPIs stems from a business standpoint, and not so much from a media standpoint. The more we understand this, the closer we will be to being the best partner.
