Zises will be tasked with leading the organisation across the US as it aims to grow its membership base of content marketers.

Prior to the launch of [L]earned Media, Zises founded social media startup Wendr, which he went on to sell and license to Budweiser US and BlackBerry in Latin America.

Zises commented: "With consumers ever shortening attention spans, heads buried in smartphones and growing competition for limited time, branded content continues to stand out as one of the most effective marketing tactics to deliver brand messages. Branded content continues to grow as professional marketers, CMO's, startups and small and medium size business owners see the impactful results. I am excited to continue working in this role with both existing and prospective BCMA members on furthering the movement, sharing best (and worst) practices and success stories."

Andrew Canter, Global CEO of the BCMA said: “We are delighted that Sam has agreed to lead the BCMA USA. This is an extremely exciting development for us and demonstrates that we are leading the charge for brands looking to harness the power of branded content in this key market. It will be of great benefit to our members and enable them to seek out and share best practice.”

The move is the latest element of the BCMA's international expansion plans, which included the relaunch of the BCMA in the US last December.

Zises will also now join the BCMA’s Global Council in addition to his US responsibilities.
