Nugent hire Mashbo and Bread to pave the way for digital and brand future
Care and education charity Nugent Care has commissioned Liverpool based digital agency Mashbo to support their brand and digital repositioning.
Mashbo, supported by Wirral based communications agency Bread Media, will deliver Nugent Care’s new communication, brand and digital strategy. The project has seen Nugent drop the Care aspect of their name in the rebranding process, to focus on a wider range of service offerings, including education and social impact, alongside the organisation’s care service. This has been aligned with the launch of their new website under the new domain wearenugent.org.
The collaborative project team engaged in co-creation sessions with Nugent’s diverse service team, with representatives from their care homes, secure units and schools. The project scope is to raise the charity’s position in the Liverpool city region and surrounding areas. It brings a unified message to all of Nugent’s services and provides them with an accessible digital communication platform which will allow them to engage with different audiences.
Normandie Wragg, chief executive at Nugent Care commented: “Nugent Care is transforming its approach and working with the teams at Mashbo and Bread is helping us to focus on how to communicate our values and services to a wider audience, while maintaining traditional foundations from Father Nugent in 1881.

Our staff are the people that make Nugent - we’re bringing them to the forefront of our communications. The work that Mashbo and Bread are carrying out will put us in a stronger position for years to come, focusing on our new tagline: “Together we are Nugent”.”

It’s more than just putting together a website. We’re working on several strategic elements and campaigns to help Nugent embrace their communications strategy and see economic growth.
“It is a great project for us to bring in a collaborative partner in Bread Media, who we have been working with closely for the last 18 months. During the pitch process we presented this transparent relationship, which allowed us to demonstrate the flexibility of skills and services offered by a collaborative team. It’s going to be an exciting and challenging time for the Nugent team but we’ll be here to support them on their creative & digital journey.”
Mashbo will continue to support the Nugent team with additional projects focused around their educational offering and adoption services.
