iProspect has promoted Ruth Stubbs to global president that will see her join the board team as well as flip responsibility for the global business to now be driven from Asia Pacific.
Stubbs had been CEO for Asia Pacific for over five years and takes on her new role immediately, working with the senior global team in Asia, UK, EMEA and the US. Her replacement in APAC will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the company.
She takes over from Ben Wood who left the business in August to join Facebook in a new global role of director of agencies, part of a series of high profile hires at the social network.
According to Dentsu Aegis Network, she increased the business from 40 people to over 1,000, as well as buying seven businesses into iProspect through acquisition and achieved over 50 per cent growth in revenue YOY.
Jerry Buhlmann, global CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network, said: “With Ruth’s strong leadership driving the outstanding growth of iProspect Asia Pacific over the past five years she was the standout choice for the role. I am confident Ruth’s experience and tenacity will make her a great addition to the global Brand Board and take iProspect to the next level for our clients.”
Stubbs is also behind the Dentsu Aegis fund for female entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia. The aim of the project is to help drive the trend for women in South and Southeast Asia to start up their own business.
