Nieddu’s arrival will see him reunited with Copa90’s head, James Kirkham, whom he worked with at digital agency Holler before it was acquired by Leo Burnett Worldwide.

At Copa90, Nieddu will work closely with Kirkham and his management team to help the fan-based network ramp up its innovation across mobile and social platforms, and build creative partnerships with advertisers.

Nieddu arrives from AnalogFolk where he was managing partner and responsible for the agency’s content-focused products and services. He has extensive experience as a planner and content specialist having joined Holler in 2009 as a senior planner where he eventually rose to the position of head of planning and then managing partner, before joining AnalogFolk in June 2015.

Discussing Nieddu’s arrival, Kirkham said: “Paolo is an amazing planner and a great content innovator. It’s fantastic he’s joining Copa90 as we look to transform the ways that football fans consume, and interact with, content.”

Nieddu added: “My time with AnalogFolk has been fantastic, I’ve enjoyed working with some truly talented people. However, this is my dream job and the prospect of teaming up with James again and work with football, fans and brands was something I just couldn’t turn down."

Copa90 recently ran a series of Coca-Cola branded films to support its sponsorship of Euro 2016 in addition to a partnership with Ibiza Rocks to film exclusive content at its venues.
