Marriott turns to its members to champion the benefits of its loyalty program

Marriott has launched a new campaign for its loyalty program, Marriott Rewards, which uses its members’ travel stories to showcase the benefits and diverse range of its brands.

The ‘You Are Here’ campaign will see Marriott Rewards members tell their travel stories in their favourite locations when it debuts tonight (16 September) on US broadcast television during NFL coverage, followed by placements on Facebook’s interactive mobile ad format, Canvas, and through a multi-platform sponsorship with CNN in over 126 countries.

Running the campaign during NFL games will allow Marriott to push the benefits of its recently introduced Experience Marketplace initiative to sports fans. Through its partnerships with the NFL, NBA, Universal Music Group, Marriott Rewards members have the opportunity to meet sports legends, access to popular concerts, and attend big sporting events like the 2017 NBA All-Star and Super Bowl LI.

“We are inspired by our Marriott Rewards member stories and are thrilled to showcase their joy of travel in our campaign,” said Karin Timpone, global marketing officer at Marriott International. “By having members tell their stories in their favorite locations, they bring our portfolio to life in an exciting way. From diving in the Caribbean, exploring the canals of Venice, and experiencing the natural beauty of South Africa, our members show the allure of travel.”

Another part of the campaign will invite all Marriott Rewards members to share their own memorable travel moments at events, on the sites of its hotels and on the company’s digital travel magazine, Marriott Traveler.
