The Drum’s annual conference, Brief Encounters will this year hear from marketing professionals from companies such as SAB Miller, Specsavers, Microsoft, Mr President and the IPA as it once again explores the art of pitching and securing new business.

This is the third year of the popular event, which invites senior marketing professionals with a wide experience from across the industry to relay their thoughts and answer questions on the best methods to driving new business acquisitions.

Advice will be offered by Stephen Reed, deputy creative director, Specsavers, Shireen Smith, Intellectual Property and internet Solicitor and Lawyer Founder of Azrights Solicitors, Paul Davies, chief marketing officer UK for Microsoft and Ben Tagoe, screenwriter and playwright, including Coronation Street, will be amongst the speakers on the day.

Topics will cover how small and medium sized agencies can compete with the networks when pitching, how to maintain long-term client relationships and how brands use their own in-house creative agencies and how others can compete against those.
