Cast Q&As via social media was a thing, and then it wasn’t. They were cumbersome to conduct, hard to follow in real-time, and not very entertaining after the fact.

Then Facebook Live came along and changed that.

Earlier today, the cast of Netflix’s latest breakout hit ‘Stranger Things’ – including Noah Schnapp (Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Natalia Dyer (Nancy) - visited Facebook Media Central to play 80’s trivia and answer fan questions.

Critics have compared the show (favorably) to 80’s movies, and during the Live session, the cast confirmed that they prepared for their roles by watching films like The Goonies, ET, Stand By Me, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles.

The cast was asked which items they would take home from the set. Natalia’s answer: “I would take the beautiful Tom Cruise poster in Nancy’s room.”

Another great thing happening with the Live Q&As is that media outlets are also getting involved:

In just two hours since going Live, the video has been watched more than 350,000 times.
