Hairy Bikers Diet Club appoints Space & Time Media to handle paid social and search

Accordant Partners has appointed media planning and buying agency Space & Time Media to handle its Hairy Bikers Diet Club account.

Stars of various BBC food-themed travel shows, The Hairy Bikers – Dave Myers and Si King - gained considerable support throughout their televised dieting journey and, as a result, have created the Hairy Bikers Diet Club to support their fans who still adore food but wish to lose weight.

The club offers advice, recipes and exercise plans, all designed to promote weight loss, while also helping to track progress through an online diary. To date, the club has developed a strong community of devoted Hairy Dieters who support one another through the forums and social media pages.

Space & Time’s brief is to build the brand further while simultaneously increasing membership levels. A strong UK-based campaign will leverage digital channels and a mix of paid-for social and search activity is already underway.

Andrea Bent, digital communications manager at Space & Time, said of the appointment: “The opportunity to work on such a loved brand and with Accordant Partners is really exciting. There is a lot of opportunity for us to be creative with how we approach the paid media: adopting Search and Facebook, using video content, display advertising and sponsored ads to get the latest updates to the Diet Club out.”
