Milk Music, an exclusive radio service exclusively created for Android devices by Samsung is set for closure with the company set instead to use the opportunity to promote third party services.

From September, the company will shut the app down, encouraging users instead to redirect to Slacker Radio, which actually powered Milk Music since its launch in 2014.

Samsung said it will instead "invest in a partner model focused on seamlessly integrating the best music services available today into our family of Galaxy devices”.

Back in November 2014, the company also activated Milk video, an ad-free video service launching with brands such as Condé Nast, Funny Or Die, Red Bull, Vevo, BuzzFeed and Vice developing content. This service only lasted a year before it was shuttered.
