Papa John's has launched a new commercial which shows how Peyton Manning spends his days now that he’s retired; decorating cupcakes.

The new spot plays tribute to Manning's career before showing him at a party with Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Papa John's founder John Schnatter.

Rather than relaxing with a Bud and eating Papa John’s pizza, Manning is busy decorating cupcakes featuring the three men's faces.

The ad has been created by Papa John’s creative agency Grey and is intended to promote the pizza chain’s new dessert, $6 Cinnamon Pull-Aparts, as well as its two medium two-topping pizza for $6.99 each offer.

The commercial is also playing up Papa John’s partnership with Watt, who signed a multi-year deal in 2015 and is expected to feature on pizza boxes nationally.
