He might be an internationally famous Oscar winner but Matthew McConaughey has failed to crack the social scene with his verified YouTube account.
Active for a year, McConaughey's official channel had little over 8,000 followers when it came to the attention of Reddit users earlier this week.
With just six videos in 12 months, YouTube users haven't been impressed with McConaughey's skills calling him an "average 46-year-old southern dad trying the ViewTube".
"Half his videos have the same title, so I think it's safe to say he doesn't really know much about technology," reads one comment. However, its lack of prominence raises questions over viewability on YouTube with one user commenting: "I'm genuinely shocked that an [Academy Award-winning] actor can put out a video and get under 1,000 views in a year."
Redditors are now trying to make his account famous, swelling its subscriber numbers to over 50k in just a few days.
