At the SheKnows Media BlogHer Conference in LA this weekend, five female entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges – and GoDaddy will be live-streaming the event as a native ad unit.

The competition will run as a native advertisement across SheKnows Media, which includes sites like HelloFlo and StyleCaster, as well as other publishers. GoDaddy is the premier sponsor of the event, called ‘The Pitch,’ and its senior vice president of presence and commerce Lauren Antonoff is serving as one of the judges.

At the live pitch session, which takes place on Saturday, August 6, each female inventor will have one minute to pitch her product. Sallie Krawcheck, founder of Ellevest and former Citigroup CFO, is serving as emcee.

Native advertising content distribution platform Traction Labs is powering the live-streamed ad in partnership with GoDaddy’s media agency MEC. According to Traction Labs, the company has previously amplified live content for Bernie Sanders’ campaign rallies.

In a statement, GoDaddy’s director of digital advertising Renee Dornan said that Traction Labs’ technology will give the brand the ability to “measure and optimize viewer engagement and responsiveness.”

“GoDaddy and SheKnows align beautifully because we are both so focused on helping women entrepreneurs make their vision a reality. With the addition of Tractions Labs’ video streaming technology, we can reach women who might not be able to attend this weekend’s conference in person and we can do it in real-time," she said.

GoDaddy has made a push over recent years to appeal to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Earlier this year, TBWA/Chiat/Day New York rolled out a campaign for the brand called 'Go You' that aims to show people how its suite of website services can help people turn their quirky ideas into actual businesses.
