Adidas is ramping up its First Never Follows campaign ahead of the new football season with a series of films for its six largest clubs.

The spots will leverage the popularity of its brand ambassadors and unveil the new third kits for each of the teams.

The German sports brand has released a trailer for the series, which shows the most talked about man in football this summer and its prized brand ambassador, Paul Pogba, reflecting on the speculation around his expected transfer to Manchester United.

The upcoming series will feature each of Adidas’ sponsored football stars from across its six biggest clubs - Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan - with each of the teams represented in their own bespoke film.

Adidas will also use the series to build excitement around its new products by debuting the third kits of the clubs in the films and profiling stars such as Pogba wearing its new Solar yellow Ace 16+ Purecontrol boots.

The decision to create a series and unveil the new kits within it will likely help Adidas in its efforts to be the most sharable brand and ensure it is the most talked about name with young football fans.

The series will launch tomorrow (29 July) and the trailer for the series can be viewed above.
