Gaming site Maria Casino has challenged YouTube sensation Mark ‘Turps’ Turpin to get as far away from the village Dull in Scotland in just 12 hours in a bid to grow its brand.
Cashless, with only a bag of seemingly useless items to barter with, the internet star has to use his wits in a race against the clock. It starts counting down from 7am tomorrow (29 July).
Created by digital agency Roast, the campaign includes an online portal where people can follow Turpin’s adventure every step of the way step-by-step. There’s also a sweepstake on how far Turpin will get, with the closest guess winning £1,000.
The move is part of Maria Casino’s rebrand that’s putting more emphasis on producing content.
"As part of our rebrand we wanted to ‘Activate Adventure’,” said explained Jasmin Andrade, campaign manager at Maria Casino.
“With both physical and online promotions, at Maria Casino we want to show that life is about taking chances, seeking out what makes you happy and enjoying yourself.”
