Xaxis has today (27 July) named Nicolas Bidon as its former Plista-lead as chief executive for EMEA, replacing Caspar Schlikum who is relocating to APAC where he’ll head up Wunderman.

Nicolas Bidon will succeed Caspar Schlikum as EMEA CEO of Xaxis

Nicolas Bidon has been promoted to Xaxis CEO, EMEA

As Xaxis CEO, EMEA, Bidon will be responsible for leading its strategy and operations across the company’s markets in the region, including helping to drive growth for Xaxis specialist companies Light Reaction, Bannerconnect and Plista.

Prior to this role Bidon has served as global CEO for Plista, and he will be succeeded by Jana Kusick, who will take over leadership of plista as global managing director - a promotion from her current role as managing director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Bidon has served at Xaxis beforehand where he was managing director for three years helping to establish the company within the GroupM fold in its infancy, before being made Plista head earlier in the year, and will now report directly to Xaxis global CEO Brian Gleason.

“He will play a prime role as we continue to advance our industry-leading market position and bring the benefits of our programmatic technology platform and know-how to new markets, advertising channels and audiences. We are also pleased to welcome Jana to the top job at plista, where she will drive global momentum for our fast growing native ad business,” commented Gleason.

“Using programmatic technology and data to unlock additional value for clients and make advertising more welcome to consumers has been the basis of Xaxis’ phenomenal growth across the EMEA region,” added Bidon.
