scottish music awards appoint Frank PR

The Scottish arm of PR agency Frank, has been appointed by the SSE Scottish Music Awards to help raise awareness of the annual event.

The partnership comes ahead of the preparation for the Scottish Music Awards in November. McFrank has said it hopes to raise the awareness of the occasion through strategic communications.

General manager of McFrank, Claire Morrison, said: "The Scottish Music Awards is a stand-out major event here in Scotland and we are incredibly proud to have been awarded such a prestigious piece of work. There is both a creative and strategic remit with this brief, so it’s right up our street."

Simon Foy, event manager for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland, organisers of the Scottish Music Awards, said: "We were really impressed with McFrank's understanding of the awards and the team’s refreshing approach on how to drive the event forward in its 18th year."

He continued: "Coupled with their understanding of the media landscape and the team’s passion for music and live events, McFrank were the stand out choice for us."

The appointment is the latest for the Scottish arm of Frank PR following its work with other Scottish brands including The West End Festival Fiesta, Silverburn and Airspace.

Previous winners at the awards have included Paolo Nutini, Biffy Clyro and Emeli Sande.
