In her new role, Passer will handle communications strategy and media relations for their digital platforms, including NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com and Today.com.

Of her new role, Passer told The Drum: "Quartz is an unbelievably innovative brand and I was lucky to have been a part of its early growth. Kevin Delaney and Jay Lauf continue to push the boundaries of what it means to be a modern media company. I am joining NBC because I'm inspired by their continued investment in digital and excited by the increased emphasis they are placing on collaboration between the programming and digital platforms. I'm looking forward to joining such a storied brand with some of the most revered talent in the business."

Passer has spent the past three years at Quartz, where she managed content promotion, media relations, and corporate communications.

Before Quartz, she served in various communications and public relations roles at companies including Fleishman-Hillard and the Financial Times.
