The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) has unveiled its nominations for the 2016 BIMA Awards finalists with R/GA, MullenLowe Profero and We Are Social making it on to the shortlist.
Scooping nominations across 12 categories, R/GA London leads the shortlist. The integrated agency is up for gongs for its work on Beats by Dre’s ‘The Game Starts Here’ campaign and McDonald’s ‘Happy Studio’ project among others.
We Are Social is nominated in the video category for its #GameDayPlus work for Adidas, competing with MullenLowe London and Knorr’s ‘Love At First Taste’ experiment and Tidal’s ‘Don’t Look Away’ film by AKQA. DF London, M&C Saatchi London and Field Day are also among those who could take home the Best Video prize.
The BIMA Awards are judged annually in two stages by a 30-strong panel influencers within the UK digital sector: decision makers at leading brands, agency stars and industry thought leaders. This year’s panel includes figures from Facebook, ITV and Made.com.
This year’s awards include categories across UX and Service Design, Immersive, Well-being and Health and, a brand new category, Arrival of the Year.
Bridget Beale, managing director of BIMA said the shortlist “showcases the power of digital to transform businesses and bottom lines.”
“Our jury has selected game-changing work from all across the country – produced by agencies large and small, by in-house teams at brands and by tech startups. Congratulations to you all and we look forward to the celebrations,” she added.
Winners will be announced on 15 September with the full nominees list available to view on the BIMA Awards website.
