Knight has previously held top marketing jobs at online fashion retailer Asos as well as Ocado, although most recent served as CMO at Veeve (like Airbnb but focused solely on renting out luxury homes in London).

However, Knight said that Coople “has a fantastic opportunity to disrupt the global staffing market and I am very excited about joining the team to help with its global expansio".

Coople enables businesses to hire qualified staff directly through its online dashboard and mobile app. The company launched in the UK this year after launching as Staff Finder in Switzerland, where it has grown to become Europe’s number one on-demand staffing platform.

At Coople, Knight will lead the marketing strategy both in the UK as it looks to grow the brand globally.

Meanwhile, Jacques de la Bouillerie has also joined from Groupon where he was chief operating officer for Northern Europe. As UK managing director he’s been charged with overseeing the business’ expansion from Switzerland, along with its commercial and operations strategy.

He commented: “Coople’s innovation and credibility in the staffing and recruitment sector is exceptional, so I had no hesitation in joining the company to launch and expand its offering into the UK market. I’m looking forward to building Coople’s proposition to the same level of success that we’ve had Switzerland, and beyond”.
