Engine hires Leo Burnett's Richard Dutton as CMO
Engine has hired Leo Burnett’s former head of brand experience and business development director, Richard Dutton as its chief marketing officer.

Dutton will be responsible for helping drive new business growth and building the Engine brand. He said: "Engine has a unique way of working and building bridges across desciplines."
"Its unique collaborative model allows its businesses to produce business-transforming work for its clients," he continued, adding: "the management team has a clear and exciting vision for the business that I very much look forward to being part of.”
Dutton will replace Nikki McCulloch who has been acting chief marketing officer for the past year.
Simon Peck, group managing director of Engine, said: "Richard has a brilliant track record of winning and growing business across a broad range of disciplines and clients. He will play a key role in supporting Engine’s ambitious growth plans.”
Dutton has spent the past seven years working at Leo Burnett as business development director working with brands such as EA Games, McDonald’s and Sony Pictures. In his new role, he can expect to work with clients like Unilever, Nestle and Coca-Cola.
