Tomchak joins from the BBC and will head up the dedicated UK site using her experience as one of the founders of BBC Trending.

Jerico joins Mashable from NITV, Australia's foremost media outlet for Indigenous peoples and a division of SBS.

"We're incredibly excited to have such a creative, well respected, multi-media journalist in Anne-Marie joining our team as UK Editor. Anne-Marie's vast experience developing new video formats and harnessing the power of social platforms to tell stories in new ways makes her a perfect fit for Mashable," said Gregory Gittrich, chief content officer of Mashable:

“We are thrilled to have Jerico joining us as Australia Editor. Jerico has an amazing wealth of experience growing digital brands in Australia and we’re excited to watch her take Mashable to the next level in the region."

He concluded: "With half of Mashable's audience coming to us from outside the US we're dedicated to all of our global sites. UK and Australia are our two largest international editions and we're confident Anne-Marie and Jerico will take the sites to the next level."

It comes after CNN Digital hired the former head of Mashable UK Blathnaid Healy just last week.
