Alzheimer's Society name McCann Worldgroup
McCann London and MRM Metorite led the pitch team for McCann Worldgroup, which has previously worked with Microsoft, Xbox and L’Oreal, against Creature London and Brothers & Sisters.
The agency will now be tasked with leading a cross-discipline team to strengthen the dementia support and research charity’s brand and also improve fundraising. They aim to help the charity to further connect with its audience to raise funds.
Mark Lund, McCann Worldgroup UK CEO, has said he hopes to remove the stigma surrounding the Alzheimer’s disease. He said: “Dementia is the biggest health issue facing our society, however the investment and attitudes don’t match the enormity of the task ahead.”
Alzheimer’s Society also works with Open Fundraising and M2M. Viviennce Francis, director of financing and external affairs noted the growth in dementia awareness in recent years. She added: “Working with McCann Worldgroup will help to change attitudes towards the condition and build a positive future narrative. We’re absolutely determined that nobody affected by dementia should be left to struggle alone.”
