iCrossing, Lab and ConversionWorks scoop the Grand Prix at the RAR Digital Awards 2016

The second annual RAR Digital Awards ceremony took place at The Lancaster hotel in London last night (16 June), commending recommended digital agencies for their work across the year.

A unique awards ceremony; the small, medium and large agency finalists and winners were selected entirely on what their clients thought of their performance.

iCrossing claimed the 100+ staff Grand Prix gong following its wins in the Digital Full Service, Strategic Thinking and Search categories; its client Barclaycard stated: “The strategic planning, technical proficiency and speed at reacting to our internal demands has been exceptional. They always provide a balanced and well thought out response. Everyone at the agency from CEO down have been a pleasure to work with.”

Lab bagged the Grand Prix for an agency with 40-99 staff members, with Hope For Children praising the shop’s ability to take clients “to the next level digitally”. Lab also left with awards in the Strategic Design and Web Design categories.

Leading the pack of small agencies was ConversionWorks, who has worked with the likes of Giffgaff and Schuh. The latter said the agency, which also picked up awards for Analytics, Optimisation and for being On Budge, has "transformed our whole ethos on how and what we do to measure our customers on our transactional sites".

Other awards were awarded for work in the Mobile space (won by Selesti, Candyspace and Critical Mass), Online Media Buying (S3 Advertising, Equimedia and Essence) and Social (Sleeping Giant Media, Something Big and ICUC Europe). A total of 74 trophies were handed out on the night.

Steve Antoniewicz, managing director of RAR, said: "Last night was an absolutely fantastic evening and the awards are really going from strength to strength. It's always very humbling to see so much great work going on amongst our member agencies.

"We're extremely grateful to the thousands of brands who submit ratings and reviews of their agencies all year round which also make these awards possible."
