Media agency The7stars has tapped the talents of former managing director of Arena Media, Henry Daglish to head a new and as yet unnamed media agency that it will pool resources with.

Set to launch by the close of 2016, the new company will operate in a separate building, receive a different management team and a different focus from the7stars but will share essential departments such as finance, HR and more.

It has been created as a unique entity, detached from major holding companies, in a bid to serve select clients.

Jenny Biggam, co-founder of The7stars, said: “The launch of a new independent media agency will provide a much needed alternative to brands and advertisers while helping The7stars to continue its award-winning work, independent agency values and unique market approach.

“Henry is the perfect choice to run it, and I can’t wait for him to get started.”

Daglish added: “There is a huge opportunity for a new independent agency in the UK. From a personal perspective, the opportunity to create a brand new business, starting with a blank sheet of paper is a great creative challenge.”

Daglish will use his experience in developing Arena Media for Havas Media Group.
