The Post Office has released its annual Travel Money campaign in anticipation of people travelling over the summer, this time featuring a magician to highlight how easy its services are to use.

The Inbetweeners star Simon Bird was the face of its previous campaign as it tried to grow awareness. Continuing those efforts, the new Post Office film dubbed ‘Magic Money’ features real magicians, including The Magic Circle Magician Of The Year Brendan Rodrigues (see below).

They were shot live in a Post Office branch last month, posing as employees behind a Travel Money counter and magically converting Sterling into foreign currency.

“Our summer campaign is key in helping us grow awareness of our Travel Money proposition,” said Keith Gulliver, who recently took over Pete Markey as the Post Office’s marketing

“Consumers broadly know we offer competitive rates on a wide range of currencies, but don’t necessarily know how easy it is to buy their travel money from us. So we are combining brand and direct response spend across digital, press, social and in-branch to reposition the Post Office as the go to place to buy travel money this summer.”

The campaign was created by MullenLowe London, and directed and filmed by MullenLowe London’s in house production company make_.

It will run from June through to early September.
