Global creative agency Iris, which is part of Seoul-based Cheil Worldwide, is bolstering its presence in the US with the addition of Mike Giannone as chief strategy officer of the Americas and Marie Davidheiser as managing director of its New York office.

Mike Giannone

Giannone joins from Grey New York, where he served as group strategy director. Throughout his career, he has also held positions at Innocean Worldwide, The Garage Team Mazda and Saatchi & Saatchi.

In his new role at Iris, he will be responsible for leading the strategy and planning teams across the agency’s New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Sao Paulo offices.

Davidheiser joins from Jack Morton’s New York office, where she served as SVP-general manager. In her new position, she will oversee day-to-day management of Iris New York. She will also help strengthen the agency’s internal teams and cultures to help Iris “grow and work with the best brands in the U.S.”

According to Iris, the agency’s New York shop has seen an “influx of business” since the debut of its 2016 Super Bowl ad for Jeep, which won the Super Clio award earlier this year.
