BT Mobile has launched the latest instalment of its ‘behind the scenes’ ad campaign which this time round will be fronted by actor and producer Alec Baldwin.

Created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO the campaign will feature both out of home and digital elements together with a presence in cinema, radio and social, with Baldwin hitting the road to shoot regionalised versions of the ad in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Continuing its parody of the advertising process the current campaign follows a fictional BT client who claims that BT Mobile’s 4G and wi-fi is as ‘As good as Alec Baldwin’s dramatic delivery”. A sceptical Baldwin thus begins his circumnavigation of the country to put this claim to the test.

Dan Ramsay, BT Consumer marketing director, said: “We wanted to bring to life just how good BT Mobile’s 4G and wi-fi coverage is. We understand that getting online where they need to, really matters to our customers. Viewers will be entertained watching Alec in everyday British settings where he will use his talent to speak in a dramatic way about ordinary things. He has such a great delivery– whether it’s his pauses or his intonation, he has a way of making anything sound dramatic. He could read out the BT Phone Book and leave you wanting more.”

The latest material follows the template set by previous instalments which have included the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, Rebel Wilson and Ewan McGregor.
