Publicis' chief revenue officer, Laura Desmond, to take six month sabbatical
Publicis’ chief revenue officer, Laura Desmond, is taking a six month sabbatical in order to deal with a "family health issue".
The ad agency announced that Desmond will initiate the sabbatical on 1 July and is expected to return on 1 January 2017.
The reason cited for the planned absence was so she could “focus her full attention on a significant family health issue".
Before taking up her current position late last year Desmond served as global chief executive of Starcom Mediavest Group and its individual media agency brands.
As chief revenue officer Desmond has been responsible for overseeing the new teams of chief client officers across agencies, as well as the group's growth through new business and future developments.
