Ubiquitous porn purveyor xHamster has very kindly let The Drum try its new limited edition beer.

Early one morning, I decided it was time to give the 8.5 per cent ale a try, and it hit me immediately like a donkey kick to the face.

Here's why the brand made it – and how it tastes.

It follows the company looking to bolster its online footprint with a sponsorship of Italian cycling team Promosports Racing and it gaining widespread coverage for banning porn access in light of North Carolina's Bathroom Bill.

The company has upped its marketing on many levels:

It has released a beer.

It launched a crowdsourced rebrand after taking entries from users.

Making a Murderer’s Brendan Dassey was to receive a trip to Wrestlemania if he managed to walk free from prison.

It also banned porn in North Carolina after the bathroom bill flared up.
