The X Factor allows contestants to audition via Facebook Live

The upcoming thirteenth series of music competition "The X Factor" will begin airing in August 2016 and broadcaster ITV's hunt for new talent is already underway. Apart from the regular auditions in cities across the UK and the opportunity to apply online via submitting a video, this year singers can additionally audition via Facebook Live. This global first audition opportunity for a talent show was announced on May 24. Registration will be open until May 27.
To register for a Facebook Live audition, talents have to visit the official "The X Factor" Facebook page and access the 'X Factor Auditions' app. After agreeing to continuing with their Facebook info, the users are asked to fill out a form to book a Facebook Live audition slot. The auditions will take place in private, closed groups with "The X Factor" producers. If the producers are impressed by the singers' talent, they will be invited to audition in front of the show's judges in June.
Fittingly, the Facebook Live auditions were announced and kicked off by the show's host Dermot O’Leary in a Facebook Live video.
