RRDCreative scooped the Chairman’s Award for Design for its agency Christmas Card, while the Design Agency of the Year accolade went to Whitespace, which also won an award in the Direct Mail category for its 'Lion, Witch and Wardrobe' client invitation.

Speaking about RRDCreative's win Adrian Whatman, chairman and creative director of design at RAPP said: "I have decided to award this year’s Chairman’s award to a clever, simple and particularly effective piece. Along with all the other judges, it made me smile and - as much as I love projects with big budgets - this execution demonstrates how creative you can be with almost no money at all. In fact, it shows that when all you have is buttons, you can be very creative indeed".

Other awards went to Fourtwentyseven Design and Tangent Graphic in the Corporate Identity category, while Thirst scooped the Packaging award for its work on the Loch Ness Brewery re-brand.

The full list of winners – including the architecture categories – can be found here.

This year’s event was sponsored by Wireframe 3d, Urban Realm, e-architect, The Drum Network and RAR.
