Aspiring musicians can now audition for the X Factor via Facebook Live
In a global first, The X Factor is set to use Facebook Live to give hopefuls the opportunity to audition on social media.

Joining the likes of BuzzFeed and IGM, ITV is the latest media brand to jump on the real-time bandwagon, with its flagship show inviting would-be stars to share a song via Facebook's live video service.
The initiative was revealed by newly reinstated X Factor host Dermot O'Leary today (24 May) live, with the presenter telling potential contestants to sign up before 27 May to be in with a chance of competing.
If singers impress X Factor producers with their vocals they could be put forward for the judges’ auditions in June.
Mark Brittan, global head of commercial at Syco Entertainment, said: “We are hugely excited to work with Facebook to make auditioning easier than ever before.
"Facebook Live is a brand new platform for us and we have high hopes that it will prove invaluable in unearthing new talent.”
The most watched video on Facebook Live is currently a video of a woman wearing a Chewbacca mask, sitting on 48 million views and counting.
