London's Design Museum has appointed global design agency Tomorrow PR to work on the launch of the two new retail spaces, ahead of the opening of the museum's new location in November.
The first shop on Kensington High Street will open in July and will present a curated edit of design objects with a focus on gifts.
The second retail space will be located within the main Atrium of the new John Pawson-designed museum and will stock a more comprehensive selection of design products and books, when it will open at the launch of the Design Museum on 24 November 2016.
Tomorrow PR has been tasked to deliver creative PR campaigns around the opening of the two Design Museum Shops to make them ‘must-visit’ destinations for consumers from London and further afield.
Neil Byrne, founder and director of Tomorrow PR, said: “We are honoured to to be working with the Design Museum during this exciting time as they prepare to open in their new home in Kensington. Museum shops have always held a strong appeal and we will work closely with the Design Museum team to make their retail spaces destination stores for the best in global design.”
The move from Shad Thames to Kensington will see the Design Museum gain three times more space.
