How brands killed it on Twitter suggesting the #NextBond
Daniel Craig has finally handed in his badge and his gun as secret agent James Bond, leaving a vacancy in the Double O programme.
Craig who has played Bond on screen for over a decade has finally called it a day and the news quickly spread on social media on Thursday morning (19 May).
Brands with a golden eye could see there was opportunity to put their mascots and brands up for the role of Bond using the #NextBond hashtag.
The news understandably had social media shaken and stirred and in need of a stiff drink but bringing a quantum of solace to fans is the fact the franchise lives to die another day with the likes of Tom Hiddlestone, Idris Elba and Aidan Turner in the running to replace Craig.
Below are some of the best (and worst) tweets brands had to offer, I mean, what do you ex-Spectre?
