Booking.com and W+K reveal latest stars in campaign
Last month, Booking.com launched an entertaining and quirky campaign around the wedding of Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele. The fictional wedding for the campaign (the couple were actually married in real-life recently) promised, at the onset, to include some of Peretti and Pelle’s celebrity friends.
In what can only be called a minor miracle, after judging from my recent poor showing at the blackjack table in Vegas for the Marketo Marketing Nation Summit, one of the earlier bets I placed on future cameos came true, with Peele’s comedic partner, Keegan-Michael Key making an appearance with Rebel Wilson.
“Road Trip” and “Mountain Lady” bring the two stars together as they embark on their own little adventure — with Wilson clearly wishing to bag the itinerary and letting the IROC Z (excellent choice, by the way, and not because I’m half Italian) go wherever the wind and chance takes them. Key is game and, in the campaign’s signature fashion, hilarity ensues while highlighting Booking.com’s free cancelation and wide range of accommodation options.
I don’t want to press my luck here, but I’ll go with Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks or John Michael Higgins in one of the future installments.
If any of that comes true, we’re all going to Vegas again.
