The Drum has announced the first of its events taking place in Cannes the week of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2016.

The Drum and Tune event at Cannes 2016

In association with Tune, The Drum will be running a panel session discussing how publishers and brands are meeting the challenges of reaching consumers on an ever-evolving and fragmented mobile medium.

The event takes place on 21 June at AOL’s rooftop at The Majestic Hotel in Cannes from 3pm to 5pm.

With ever-more brands taking a mobile-first approach, the debate will be exploring how marketers can continue to deliver engaging experiences to consumers that take advantage of the latest technical developments and shifts in consumer behaviour.

The debate will build on the findings of a report published by The Drum this month, in partnership with Tune, Marketing’s New Frontier: The convergence of mobile-web and app.

Topics to be covered at the Cannes event include the convergence of mobile apps and the mobile web and the impact on advertisers and how to build a more fluid mobile advertising ecosystem.

The first two speakers to be announced are Peter Hamilton, CEO, Tune and Matt Gillis, SVP, Mobile - ONE by AOL: Publishers, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Marketing’s New Frontier: The convergence of mobile-web and app forms part of The Drum’s overall programme of activity running alongside the Cannes Lions festival.
