Fashion giant Calvin Klein has built upon its provocative advertising legacy with a racy upskirt Instagram post drawing ire on Instagram.

The company invited Instagram users to “Take a Peek” at 23-year-old model Klara Kristin’s panties to promote its #mycalvins line.

The wider photoshoot, from Harley Weir, has failed to spark a similar reaction despite their thematic similarities.

To date, the post has received 45.8k likes and saw over 2,000 comments, large quantities of which are negative.

A common complaint was that the post was in itself misogynist. Many of the comments can be viewed in the post below.

Last year The Drum spoke to Calvin Klein chief marketing officer Melisa Goldie; she admitted the controversial brand “get censored all the time”.

And it looks unlikely to change its ways anytime soon, last year signing the divisive Justin Beiber as an #mycalvins ambassador.
