Studio71, the digital entertainment company and multi-channel network owned by Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Media, held their NewFront in NYC yesterday. The major announcement was around a partnership with Seven Bucks Productions co-founded by Dwayne Johnson ("The Rock") and Dany Garcia. They will launch a new YouTube presence, Seven Bucks Digital Studios.

The channel will feature Johnson’s own videos, and content related to Seven Bucks’ films and shows (which includes HBO's Ballers). The company also promises monthly collaborations featuring top digital talent as well as an “action-filled” series. Johnson currently has over 100 million followers across social media and recently won a Shorty Award for being the best actor on social media.

“Other than my family, social media is my strongest relationship and it’s allowed me to connect on a very direct and personal level with fans globally. We’re thrilled to partner with the world-class team at Studio71 to deliver cool, compelling and entertaining content for audiences around the world to enjoy,” said Johnson.

"Through Seven Bucks Productions, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia have built an entertainment brand that crosses all mediums, and we see this as an organic expansion of Johnson’s huge online presence,” said Dan Weinstein the President of Studio71. "This partnership furthers our mission to work with the best creators to deliver premium content across all platforms, and we can’t wait to launch a YouTube channel that reflects Johnson and everything he and Seven Bucks Productions stand for," he added.
