PG Tips' latest push turns focus on green tea range

PG Tips is highlighting the natural benefits of drinking green tea in the latest version of its 'Keep it Tea' campaign, as it looks to push its expanded range of green teas.

The Unilever-owned tea brand has poured £3m in to the campaign, which sees the brand's Monkey character poke fun at health fads before encouraging consumers to stick to drinking tea.

The wider campaign, running across OOH, TV, PR and social media, will also drive trial and awareness of the brand’s range of green teas such as Green Tea Strawberry Cupcake.

Lola Danlos, senior brand manager for PG tips at Unilever UK commented: “Our new green tea campaign will encourage shoppers to trial our fantastic range of flavours. The range has seen phenomenal growth in the past few years as consumers continue to grow their hot drinks repertoire. Our new campaign, which involves a mix of activations, will really help build on this.

“As well as appealing to new shoppers, the campaign is aiming to encourage fans of black tea to be experimental and try out our exciting array of green tea flavours.”

The campaign follows a packaging overhaul by PG Tips to drive relevance particularly among younger consumers.
