Business on the Move: MasterCard, Pandora, Macy’s and more

Pandora, the US-based streaming service, appointed Deutsch as its new creative agency after a review. The business will be run out of the network’s Los Angeles offices. The account had been with fellow IPG shop twofifteenmccann, which did not pitch to retain the business.

MasterCard consolidated the digital and social media areas of its marketing business in the US under the integrated McCann XBC team, extending its relationship with McCann Worldgroup. Mastercard will no longer work with R/GA or VaynerMedia, which previously handled its digital and social work.

Macy’s dropped JWT as its lead creative agency on Macy’s holiday campaigns, replaced by BBH, Figliulo & Partners. It is not yet known which agency will create which portions of the account, but based on previous work it is likely BBH will be handling the TV campaigns for the retailer.

icelolly.com chose Epiphany, Jaywing's search specialists, to support key aspects of the holiday comparison site’s organic search strategy. Leeds-based agency Epiphany has been briefed to improve and optimise icelolly.com’s organic search performance, assist the in-house team with its content strategy and link-building efforts and increase the company’s brand awareness.

Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Group awarded its regional media to full-service media agency Initiative across key Asia markets. The pitch was led by Cerebos, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings. This first-ever regional pitch worth more than US$ 65m was managed by pitch consultant, R3, across markets of Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Initiative is part of the IPG Mediabrands global network.

RedMart, an ecommerce business in Singapore, chose Starcom Singapore to lead its media business. Starcom’s scope of work includes driving brand awareness and the campaign in 2016.

Leeds Beckett University reappointed full-service integrated marketing agency Brass as lead creative agency for branding and student recruitment campaigns for a minimum of two years. Brass has worked with the University since May 2010, supporting the brand evolution from Leeds Metropolitan University to Leeds Beckett University. Brass has also produced undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment campaigns, including its first ever TV recruitment campaign under its new name.
