To celebrate the Ad Club of New York's 120th anniversary, The Drum is inviting readers to share their favorite marketing moments from the past 120 years.

Today’s marketing moment was chosen by Alexandria Alava, membership & programs coordinator at the Ad Club of New York. Below, find out why P&G’s ‘Thank You, Mom’ video, created by Wieden & Kennedy for this summer’s Olympics in Rio, is one of her favorite marketing moments.

With mother’s day coming up this weekend, I would have to say one of my favorite marketing moments is the new ‘Thank you, Mom’ campaign for Rio.

Originally, Pick Me Back Up, Best Job in the World, and Never Walk Alone were great as well.

However, I like the new version because it goes beyond the athletic realm and shows how they need their moms in everyday life, which connects with nearly all consumers including me.
