BBDO New York has promoted Kirsten Flanik to president after 10 years with the agency.

Flanik, who was previously managing director, will report to John Osborn, who has held dual roles of president and chief executive for over a decade and follows other senior changes made last year, including Tina Allen joined as head of data and analytics, while Crystal Rix was named director of business development.

Osborn described BBDO New York as "a dramatically different agency than it was five years ago," as a result of winning major accounts with brands such as Bacardi, Subway, Toys R Us and Tropicana.

"We’ve experienced significant growth and expanded into burgeoning categories like retail, healthcare and BtoB. With our continued success, we have decided to expand our leadership ranks to keep pace with the agency’s growth and to continue meeting the needs of our clients. Kirsten is a key partner of mine and has been a critical member of the team. She embodies our values, and has earned the respect of our people, clients and partners. As our agency continues to grow and evolve, the time is right for Kirsten to expand her leadership role'" added Osborn.

Flanik was named as a 'Woman of Influence' earlier this year by the New York Business Journal.
