You & Mr Jones enhances brandtech offering with theAmplify acquisition

Brand technology business You & Mr Jones has snapped up social media influencer service theAmplify for an undisclosed sum.

The agency has taken a majority share in the Amplify, which has an algorithm that uses audience data to identify the most relevant influencers for a brand across Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Vine, Twitter and Periscope.

On picking up the LA-based company, You & Mr Jones founder and chief executive David Jones, said: “One of the fastest growing areas of people-powered marketing is influencer marketing, and theAmplify is the most impressive business we've seen in the space. What makes them unique is their technology and their brilliant founder.

“Brands are seeing a very strong ROI with influencer marketing and we’re looking forward to building one of the world’s leading influencer businesses with Justin."

Justin Rezvani, founder and chief executive of theAmplify, added: “Millennials consume content and brands in a very different way to previous generations and I wanted to build a company to recognize that. You & Mr Jones was founded in June 2015, the Amplify on the other hand came about in 2013.
