It marks the fifth time which the brand has created uniforms for the US Olympic team.

The uniforms take on a classic look with striped cotton t-shirts, tricolor boat shoes, ribbon belts, chino shorts and a Pony-emblazoned button-down shirt that comes in a choice of red, white or blue.

Ralph Lauren came under fire for its 2012 Olympic uniforms after it emerged that they were made in China, however the new line has been made in the US.

A number of top designers have helped create uniforms Olympic teams ahead of the Rio Olympics including including Stella McCartney's Adidas kits for Great Britain, Lacoste for France, H&M for Sweden and Giorgio Armani for Italy's ensembles.
