The Guardian runs purple masthead in honour of Prince
The Guardian newspaper has switched its famous blue masthead for a purple font in honour of the deceased singer-songwriter Prince, who died suddenly yesterday at the age of 57.
The broadsheet has devoted its front page to a portrait of the star whose death has been recognised the world over with a series of purple-themed tributes which also saw the Sun feature a front page splash on a purple background and MTV transform its Twitter logo with a regal hue.
