John's Weird Week: xHamster ban, imperfect Match.com & the minion militia
Ooft, another precious week in the bag, here’s the weird marketing news you have to know.
1. xHamster blocked porn access to North Carolina over a controversial bill receding the rights of the state’s LGBT members.
2. Match.com upset freckled people with an ad claiming freckles are imperfections. It quickly backtracked and removed the ads.
3. And finally, a local community in Cornwall rallied around a Facebook page to stick it to the council. The people of Minions (yes it is a real place) really wanted their minions-themed road sign reinstated after it was removed amid fears it could cause road accidents.
